Looking Up

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

This past weekend Calvary members and friends were blessed to have the opportunity to meet and greet the Pastoral Candidate (and family) - the person that the search team feels the Holy Spirit has brought us to. What a joyful time!  As a congregation, we can see the proverbial "light at the end of the tunnel".

Over the past year (and even longer if you count the discernment time & move to the NALC) one of the phrases you might have heard around Calvary a lot is "time of transition".  Has it been difficult?  At times.  Though, truth be told, even in those times when we became "Doubting Thomases", God was there...He did provide!

When Calvary saw the exodus of several staff members, God sent us a strong and caring interim shepherd in Pastor Cathi, He breathed his Holy Spirit upon numerous individuals within our Christian family to step up and lead our ministries to be as strong as ever, and finally, He gave us strength and peace through His Word.

Through all, God continued - and continues - to pour His blessings upon us.  God is good - all the time.  All the time - God is good!

Now, as we stand at the brink of yet another major step, (deciding to call Pastor Roser as our next Senior Pastor) we can once again look up to Him and take that step with confidence. He has been, is, and will always be beside us, guiding us in all that we do. All we need to do is look up!

So, dear friends in Christ, keep looking up... our almighty God will continue to show us the path - His path - so that we may step forward with confidence and proclaim His name for all to hear.  What a journey!   Anyone care to join us?
