Kingdom Rock: Stand Strong! VBS 2013

All this week when you enter the building at 1750 North Calhoun Road you will encounter the sounds and sights of children singing, playing, creating, learning, sharing, and worshiping.  It's Vacation Bible School week at Calvary! And what an awesome week it is already!!

The week really began many, many months ago when a team of VBS volunteers commenced planning. After months of painstaking and detailed planning, work continued last weekend as a hoard of eager workers flooded the church and quickly transformed every space into a "royal kingdom" - from castle walls, to tapestries, royal garden trellises filled with tissue paper flowers and greenery, a royal throne, and yes, even a drawbridge! And then, on Monday, the royal "subjects" began arriving and the excitement continued to build.  We're halfway through the week, and the smiles haven't waned a bit!

God is truly doing amazing things with these kids this week.  And with our number of attendees double the number we had last year, we are reaching so many more with God's message.  Armed with the Word of God, these kids can "Stand Strong" in their faith!

If you are interested to see and hear what the kids have been doing and learning this week, come to the VBS program on Thursday night at 6:15 pm.  All are invited! It promises to be a "royally rockin' time"!! While you are here, be sure to say "hi" to Angie, our youth director and VBS coordinator.  (She'll be the one wearing the robe & crown!)
